Building a Deep-Work Routine
Deep focus is a skill you set up for, not a mood you wait for.
Design the block, don't wait for the mood
Deep work rarely happens by accident. The people who get long stretches of focus tend to schedule them, protect them, and start before they feel ready.
A simple structure
Pick one task, put the phone in another room, set a timer for a defined block, and let yourself do only that. When the timer ends, take a real break. Two or three of these a day is plenty for most people.
Set your body up
Focus comes easier when you're hydrated, not starving, and not running on three hours of sleep. Handle the physical baseline and the mental work gets meaningfully easier.
